Romsey
is a small market town with its own Abbey. The town has
many shops, pubs and restaurants. Also close to the town
centre is Broadlands once the home of Lord Louis Mountbatten
and the Rapids with its swimming pool and health complex.
There are many lovely walks both in Romsey and the surrounding
countryside.
Just
a short journey away is Paultons Park, Marwell Zoo and Motisfont
Abbey, all well worth a visit. Romsey is also on the edge
of the New Forest National Park, this has many interesting
places to visit and of course some beautiful scenery, ideal
for keen walkers and cyclists.
Romsey
has a tourist information centre ideal for booking any trips
and obtaining tickets and information for the local theatre
and events in and around the town.
